GRADING

Your grades are weighted according to these percentages:

40% Exams
30% Daily work/classwork/StudySpanish (PAPIB) and Holt websites
20% Quizzes
10% Participation

You will have at least three exams per six weeks.
You will have at least one quiz per week, so six/seven/eight quizzes per six weeks.
Daily work and classwork grades usually amount to 2 per week.
Participation is calculated EVERY DAY and averaged each week; you have six participation grades per six weeks.

Yes, I take A LOT of grades. I think that is only fair: I give you multiple opportunities to do well on a variety of things. I take grading very seriously, as I have mentioned before in person and on this blog. I will post grades every Monday (starting next Monday 10 September; our electronic gradebooks are still being created) so you will always know your average and progress in my class.

Have a great week!
