(Ernest... if you can figure out the title, you have another clue to who Hoops McCann is...)
What a busy week! I've been up at Lowery too many times to count. I think I told some of you that a team of teachers from Lowery is presenting a workshop/seminar at the National AP conference in Las Vegas in July. (Like, next month.) We've been working on that, plus Mr. Brockway and I are presenting a Spanish workshop on our own and we've been trying to finish that as well.
My birthday was this week... Mr. Brockway gave me the great shirt you see in the picture. He bought it at a thrift store (my favorite place!) and I love it!
I am still not done reading Teacher Man. Mainly because I started going through the books of photography that I have... I love looking at pictures, especially historic/archival stuff... and once I open those books time just stands still. Meanwhile, Teacher Man sits on my desk, arms crossed and pouting.
I saw Knocked Up on Friday. Hilarious. All the jokes about the guy's beard are worth whatever the price of admission is. Next I want to see Waitress. I still need to see The Queen.
I found out there is a cockroach museum in Plano. It is called the Cockroach Hall of Fame. Yes, I plan to go this summer and I can only hope they sell t-shirts.
We need to start planning our bowling day... Reina, Ernest, Doug, Nasreen, Ben and I talked about this I think; is anyone else interested in going? I'm thinking Main Event? That way we could eat there. Doug is on vacation with his family all week so maybe next week? Let me know your schedules. We need to coordinate this through email to avoid stalkers, so email me at my school address if you want to go and tell me roughly what your schedule is. I'd prefer to go during the day... less crowded!
Tonight is the last episode of The Sopranos, one of the greatest TV shows of all time. It is not for everyone... very graphic, very brutal, the language is atrocious and there's a lot of death. But it is refreshing in its honesty and depth. There is a little Tony Soprano in all of us.
Have a great week! I'll try to update more regularly....
