Summer so far...

Has been a little trying on my patience. I am SO SICK OF THE RAIN. It ruined two days that I was supposed to spend at the pool. According to the meteorologists it is not supposed to stop raining until WEDNESDAY... so we've had to find stuff INSIDE to do... we've played Phase 10, Boggle, Uno... the funny thing is we bought waterproof cards for the pool and we could have been using them outside all this week. LOL

I have a stack of books to read over the next couple of weeks. I borrowed Teacher Man from Schreff last month. I've got another book she gave all of the teachers this week called Letters to the Next President: What We Can Do About The Crisis In Public Education. Also have The Circuit about a migrant family and The Alchemist, not sure what it is about. I am going to reread The Little Prince. I know that is one of Nasreen's favorite books. I used to give it to my seniors as a graduation gift. It has been about 3 years since I read it. I would love to read Al Gore's new book about global warming and the environment except it is probably REALLY depressing. If I do read it then I have no choice but to reread my David Rakoff books for comic relief.

Doesn't look too promising for television this summer until BIG BROTHER comes on in July... Real Time With Bill Maher is on hiatus until August 24. The Sopranos is about to end; two more episodes. Doesn't look like Curb Your Enthusiasm is going to start up ANYTIME soon either. Glad I have my books!
