See, THIS is what I like about summer. Right now it is almost 1am. I have spent the past hour Instant Messaging my friends and cleaning the bathroom. If school were in session I would have gone to bed, like, four hours ago. The stereo is on full-blast and nobody in this house is going to bed ANYTIME soon.Despite this__________ weather (insert your own adjective), Mr. Holmes and I did manage to get out on Sunday (in the rain) and eat and see some of our friends. Other than that, here are the highlights of the past 2 days:
- Watched several episodes of Little House on the Prairie... today's was one of my favorites, where Almanzo tells Laura she can't be a teacher because he wants to be the one making all the money, but then a drought hits Walnut Grove and so his crops all die and so either she works or they can't get married... these are REAL problems, people!
- While trying to put on a pair of shoes today, I lost my balance in the bathroom and grabbed the handle to a cabinet door to regain my balance... unfortunately the ENTIRE wall of cabinets came out of the sheetrock... when Phillip got home and saw the carnage he said, "Look, just fall next time, okay?"
- Does that story not sound like something that would happen to Doug? Moving on...
- I got sucked into yet another PBS show about eagles... when am I going to learn... the cute baby eagles got eaten by some kind of wild beast and then it was just depressing.
- After I decided to vacuum underneath the refrigerator, I found a check I'd written to pay a water bill month before last. Wondered where that thing went.
