Happy New Year!
What a whirlwind of a break. I got about sixty percent of what I planned to do, done. My husband and I put down wood floors in the office of our house. I got NONE of the books read that I checked out from the library the first day of our break; I just called to renew them so HOPEFULLY I will finish them before January 16. I got NONE of the movies watched that I have on Tivo, but I saw The Holiday and Volver in the theater. I didn't get any schoolwork done. At all. I've been staying up until at least 2am every day listening to music and watching television-- my sleep schedule is totally destroyed. I did get to see all of my friends and play a WHOLE BUNCH of Boggle. I enjoyed the break except for the Cowboys, who managed to lose both of their games.
My teaching schedule is different this semester: 1st, 2nd and 4th are regular classes; 5th, 6th and 7th are Pre-AP. Expect to see a different mix of people each period. Seating charts by Friday or Monday (at the latest).
This week we will finish Chapter 3. We left a couple of things out because of the semester exam. We will learn weather expressions and the verb hacer. There will be a quiz over those early next week and then we will move on to Chapter 4.
