15 December 2006

FINAL EXAM WEEK 12-18 through 12-20, 2006

Nothing to tell that you don't already know. Here's the exam schedule:

Monday, December 18: 2nd and 3rd period Scantron final
Tuesday, December 19: 5th and 6th period Scantron final
Wednesday, December 20: 4th and 7th period Scantron final

School dismisses at 12:20 each day and no lunch will be served. Each period is two hours long. Final exam grades will not be uploaded until January, and report cards don't go out until we get back next semester.

On a personal note: I have loved this semester. It has probably been the easiest semester I've had since I began teaching at Lowery in 2004. I'd like to attribute that to my age and expertise but the fact is that it is all of YOU that make my job fun and relatively stress-free.

Christmas is a confusing time for a lot of people: many believe it to be about gifts and material things, decorations, songs, and cards. December often ends up being a month of hectic shopping, family obligations, and exhaustion instead of what it's supposed to be: a time to be thankful for the many ways that we are blessed, the challenges we are given that make us stronger people, and our friends/families (and in my case, students) who make up the kaleidoscope of our lives. I hope you all enjoy your vacation, that you find peace among the noise of the world, and that you get some much-needed rest. I'll see you in the comments section.

Merry Christmas!
