A bit of sad news

The albino squirrel that lived at the University of North Texas in Denton has died.
He was killed by a hawk earlier this week; memorial services are today.

The albino squirrel is pretty rare. A whole organization, the Albino Squirrel Preservation Society, exists to promote albino squirrel welfare and protect albino squirrels across the world.

If you are interested in seeing pictures of the North Texas squirrel, click on the ASPS link to the left, then the North Texas link, then pictures. Cute, wasn't he?

You can also read the story on Channel 8's website-- search for "albino squirrel".

Pray that one day we will find an albino squirrel here at Lowery so we can start our own ASPS chapter!
